Mackenzie N. Kravitz focuses her practice exclusively on family law matters. She has litigation experience in the areas of divorce, complex asset valuation and division, child-related matters, post-divorce modification, guardianships, removal actions, enforcement of judgments, paternity actions, child support and prenuptial agreements. Ms. Kravitz is skilled in negotiations and in working in areas of alternative dispute resolution including mediation and conciliation. Ms. Kravitz represents clients across the Commonwealth.
Ms. Kravitz has been recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2021 in the area of family law. Only 2.5% of attorneys are selected as Rising Stars following a multi-step selection process of nominations and peer evaluations by a Thomson Reuters rating service.
Prior to joining Kates & Barlow in 2018, Ms. Kravitz served as a Judicial Law Clerk (2017-2018) to the justices of the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court in the Suffolk, Middlesex, and Essex divisions. Ms. Kravitz drafted and performed research on an assortment of complex issues, including those pertaining to divorce, property division, and child support. She also provided legal and factual analysis and drafted both memoranda and decisions for the justices on all areas of family and probate law.
Ms. Kravitz is a 2017 graduate of Boston University School of Law. While attending BU Law, she was a member of the International Law Journal, where she served as SymposiumEditor, and participated in the American Legislative Clinic, where she worked for Assistant Majority Leader of the Massachusetts State Senate, Cynthia Stone Creem. Ms. Kravitz also interned as a Law Clerk at a family law firm in downtown Boston.
