Homer Albers Prize Moot Court Competition

On Monday evening March 15, 2015 Peter Barlow sat as a judge for Boston University’s Homer Albers Prize Moot Court Competition. The first issue argued which test (parent-centered vs. child-centered) should be used to determine the phrase “habitual resident” in the Hague Convention. The second issue argued whether the International Child Abduction Remedies Act grants federal courts jurisdiction to hear access claims.  All Students were prepared and argued well confirming the quality of education Boston University School of Law continues to provide over 30 years after Peter attended.
